Technology Design School

Design has played a hugely important role in the history and development of art and design education within Southampton. The Southampton School of Art|, founded in 1855, offered courses in both the fine and commercial arts.

In our modern world, where self expression, creative diversity and individualism form part of our everyday lives, the Southampton Solent University School of Design aims to offer highly motivated individuals the opportunity to become part of a concentrated community of innovative learners of the design process. We provide the opportunity to produce exciting and innovative design work that demonstrates the acquisition of employer-related skills that are essential for a successful career in the highly competitive creative industries.
