CATS Canterbury works well with Southampton Solent University in the Business area. Last year 7 students came from Stafford House mainly to study Business and Accountancy.
Their students do come to visit us yearly to view our facilities, meet our lecturers and current ex Stafford house students.
University Challenge – In September 2006, Southampton Solent University piloted a University challenge competition at CATS Canterbury (then Stafford House) where students were given a business based project to undertake. Prizes were given out for the most original idea. This task helps students focus on team work skills and gives them an idea of the teaching style of our lecturers.
Entry requirements
We accept the University Foundation Programme along with an IELTS of 6.0 for most of our undergraduate courses.

"In September 2005 I started studying in Stafford House College [now CATS Canterbury] with the aim to continue studying at a University in the UK. The time at Stafford House was pretty amazing due to the fact that I had met so many different people from various cultures.
My University life here in Solent Southampton is really fantastic so far. I made a lot of new friends as well as I’m living my life. The lecturers especially from the business department at Solent are all doing a great job and trying to get out the most of every student. Therefore University life involves also quite a bit of organising and hard working in order to be successful; but this is combined with lots of fun here in Southampton."
