The First Few Days

Is it your first time abroad, far away from your friends and family? Don't worry, things will work out and you will make new friends in no time. You will be amazed at how quickly you will be settling in to your new life as soon as you get here.

You may have planned to attend the International Welcome Events| or to arrive for the Freshers' Week, whenever you arrive, you will have a lot on your mind. Settling in to your new accommodation, familiarising yourself with the city and the university. It is such an exciting moment but it can also be daunting.  Attending the International Induction will help you familiarise with your new environment before the arrival of all the British students and you will make friends from day one.

The Freshers' Week will be very busy but an important week for all students. You will do your enrolment, get your student card, your timetable, you will meet your teachers and classmates... So despite a big crowd, don't worry if you don't know where to go, you are all on the same boat and you will find helpful people across the University to give you directions.

However, if you feel for whatever reasons you need to speak to someone, go to Students First Information Centre| within the University. Whatever help or guidance you need, they will be able to give you advice.
