Entry requirements
Undergraduate courses
As a general guide, we look for qualifications that are equivalent to the British High School A-levels. A portfolio is also required for most of our Art & Design courses.

Students with a (Ordinary) National Diploma Students
Foundation year

Students with a WAEC Senior School Certificate may apply for a foundation year (level 0 of a Bachelor Degree).
Postgraduate courses
As a general guide, we look for qualifications that are equivalent to the British Bachelor Degree.

International scholarships
We are pleased to offer a number of scholarships to students from Nigeria, if you are applying for a full-time course at Southampton Solent University and you are a self-funded full-fee student.
Simply complete our short overseas scholarships application form.|
Return it to our International Recruitment Office once you have received a definite offer from us.
Visa information
As a Nigerian national, you will need to apply for a visa to come and study in the UK. You should make your application for a visa at your local British Embassy or High Commission in your country.
Certificate of Acceptance for Study (CAS)
When you have met all the conditions of entry for a full-time course at Southampton Solent University (inc. payment of deposit and course acceptance), you will be sent a Certificate of Acceptance for Study (CAS) number. You will need this document to apply for a visa to study at our university.
