Complaint Response Partnership
Established in 2008, the Complaint Response Partnership is an institution-led initiative that brings together local partners, including the noise and waste enforcement teams in the City of Southampton, Hampshire Police and The Safer Communities anti-social behaviour team. It aims to provide a coordinated response to residents’ complaints and to assist in applying statutory powers and responsibilities regarding waste, noise and anti-social behaviour. It also ensures that students are given helpful information and advice about their community and are told about any complaints about their property and the consequences of further complaints.
The partnership’s strategic approach has improved responses by all agencies and improved cross-agency understanding and working. Through this, residents are also able to find out in general terms the action taken in response to complaints.
In 2012, Hampshire Police will run Operation Moreland in response to some resident queries about anti-social behaviour. This will aim to seek further data on the community's concerns and offer an opportunity to raise issues directly. The Police and the Student Union's Say Hello team will be collceting data across student populated areas and the wider community.
Throughout 2011 and 2012 Operation Nemsis has seen the Police tackle burglary head-on and provide regular advice to students about reducing the risk of burglarly and the prevention of theft of personal items.
