Eric Miller
Eric Miller started his Lean journey over 20 years ago as Operations Director of marine electronics manufacture Simrad Stowe. Limited resources in a highly competitive cyclical market required lean principles to survive. From there he joined Cap Gemini as a Lean consultant before joining Southampton Solent University as a lecturer.
Recognising the opportunity for companies to share Lean best practice, Eric set up with the help of MAS (Manufacturing Advisory Service) a best practice Lean peer group with 15 of the top performing companies with operations in the south. The Masters in Six Sigma was set up by Eric some three years ago to satisfy the need for its novel weekend delivery mode targeted at students in full time employment from across the UK and Europe.
