Many students find careers in Accountancy, very often staying in the Southampton area. However, the skills that are developed on these courses, including developing the understanding of how business works, stands graduates in good stead for obtaining work in many fields of business.
As has already been mentioned, large companies often employ their own accountants and finance team, so searching for careers does not necessarily have to be within the financial services industry.
