Local Enterprise and Community, Recession, Recovery and Regeneration
The cluster focuses on the economic changes in Southampton as the recession progresses. The project covers both the labour strategies of larger firms in the City, and the responses of smaller firms located in poorer areas of the City.
The results are already informing professional presentations on HR courses in the University. The Faculties newly invigorated courses and activities in entrepreneurship will be informed by research lessons from our studies of local SMEs.
External funding is sought to review how the research finding might inform local strategies on unemployment and worklessness.
