Extra-Curricular Activities
At Southampton Solent University student learning extends much further than traditional lectures and seminars. In addition to this classic teaching format, students are provided with a series of practical opportunities to develop links and partnerships with future employers. As an example, BA (Hons) Sport (Coaching and Sport Development) students are given the opportunity to deliver their very own coaching and development initiative in the city in their third year. This provides them with a fantastic opportunity to experience the creation and delivery of a sport development programme whilst gaining crucial hands-on experience and links with key partners from industry. When it comes to employment in the industry post graduation, it is often experience like this that will distinguish applicants from other competing graduates.
For more information about this please see the BA (Hons) Sport (Coaching and Sport Development)| pages or contact Kevin Harris. (This unit is also offered as an option unit on BA (Hons) Sport Studies and BA (Hons) Sport Studies with Business.)
