Innovative Teaching
Southampton Solent University is an accredited centre for Football coaching with 1st4Sport and the FA, and students will be able to take advantage of strong links with MLS Soccer Camps in the U.S.A, where many students are employed as coaches. Students have the opportunity to gain coaching qualifications delivered by our own UEFA ‘A’ Licence Coach Educators. Students will also have the opportunity to meet some of football’s most significant figures during regular guest lectures.
The University is home to the Lawrie McMenemy Centre for Football Research||, one of the Country’s leading research and consultancy centres for the professional industry. It is also an FA ‘Focus University’.
Students also have the added benefit of being able to put their knowledge and skills into practice within the local community as part of the Sport Solent in the Community| scheme.
