Design Studies courses
Courses include:
Please bring with you a portfolio, this should include a comprehensive selection of work that demonstrates your visual understanding, critical thinking and development of the design process in the discipline that you are applying for.
When assembling your portfolio it may be useful to include:
-
An example of a project you have completed from start to finish which shows the research undertaken, design process and finished article.
-
A range of skills within the design discipline.
-
Most importantly your portfolio should demonstrate your creativity. Your choice of work should best represent your abilities and achievements to date. Please consider your presentation.
If you are applying for Design Studies with Fashion Promotion please also consider:
-
Your interest in Fashion and how this influences your design work.
-
If you have not previously studied Fashion we would recommend you develop your portfolio in your own time. You could do some fashion illustrations, look at high street trends or produce mood boards for example.
Your portfolio should be clearly identifiable and should be labelled with your name, address and course applied for.
Whilst every care will be taken in viewing your portfolio, applicants are responsible for ensuring their work can be satisfactorily handled and viewed by staff without the applicant necessarily being present.
In order for the session to run smoothly, it is important that you are here promptly.
