Fashion courses
Courses include:
Your portfolio should include a maximum of 8-10 pieces of creative work that demonstrate your interest in the pathway you have chosen. Examples of work may be fashion illustration, life drawing, retail research, photographs, design development, garment development/textile work. Most importantly this work should show your passion for your chosen course.
You are requested to bring one sketchbook that shows development of ideas including drawing and/or photographs, garment development and project research. Please bring one piece of written work such as an essay or report that you feel demonstrates your writing and analytical skills.
The most important thing to remember is that you should try to represent your particular creative direction and personal interests through your portfolio.
Specific guidance for:
BA (Hons) Fashion - Promotion and Communication pathway:

Photographs of any styling that you may have done.

Magazine, retail or fashion company/trend research.
BA (Hons) Fashion - Design and Development pathway:

Drawings including 'life drawing' if you have had an opportunity to do this.

Demonstrate an understanding of fashion and fashion design.

If you are unable to bring garments that you have made please bring photographs of garments.
BA (Hons) Fashion with Photography:

Fashion Photography showing your ability to style a look.

Demonstrate your interest in Fashion and how you enjoy using photography as a medium to communicate your fashion interest.

Photography that shows your technical abilities acquired to date.
BA (Hons) Fashion Graphics:

Demonstrate your interest in Fashion and the promotion of Fashion products.

Sketchbook should contain references from personal research, magazines and retail graphics that you like and inform your own work.

Show examples of your Visual Communication work which demonstrates IT, layout and presentation skills and could include typography, illustration or photography.
Please ensure that you have labelled your portfolio clearly with your name, address and college/school.
