Library Service
Members of the Alumni Association are welcome to continue to use the library for reference purposes to help them in their work or further study.
Reference access to our collections is freely available, subject to certain restrictions. In particular, there are licence restrictions for databases and other electronic resources, and these can therefore only be used by staff and currently registered students of the University. 
Alumni are entitled to a 50% discount on external subscriber membership upon production of an Alumni Association membership card. The discounted rate is currently £12.50 per annum. For new members of the Alumni Association the annual membership to the Library has been waived for the first year of your membership.
Subscriber membership would entitle you to borrow books; we can also provide some fee-based services to members that would not be available to non-members.
Photocopying Facilities
The library has a copy centre on the second floor which can reproduce in black and white, colour and copy onto acetates. Call 023 8031 9680 for current information on self-service photocopy charges.

Book Loan
Subscribers can borrow up to four items at a time. This excludes titles in heavy demand by students (material loaned for one week or a shorter loan period).
Fee-Based Services
Enquiries that would involve a librarian spending time in finding information for you, and possibly sending it to you at your work place, may be arranged at the discretion of the relevant subject specialist information librarian. There would be a charge made for this. Naturally providing a service for our students has to be our first priority, so there will be times when we are not able to provide fee-based services.
Charges
Enquiries undertaken on your behalf by a librarian would be charged at a rate of £25.00 per hour plus additional costs for photocopying, print-outs, postage and packaging and database searching.

Note that due to licensing restrictions and space limitations, alumni cannot access either the on-campus network facilities (including word processing and electronic information sources) or the off-campus password restricted resources provided by the library from its web site.
