Christine is a Principal Lecturer for the Professional Development Portfolio at Southampton Business School. Christine lectures within the Human Resources Management subject group.
With many years industry experience in general retail management, operations and human resource management, Christine joined Southampton Solent University in 2003 where she currently teaches on various courses. She is also an external assessor for London Metropolitan University and an assessor for BPP Business School (London) in Human Resources Management. She is course leader for the MA HRM.
Christine has been instrumental in course design within the business environment – offering appraisal, performance management and stress management training. She has also been instigative in the planning and creativity demanded in the restructuring of organisations.
Christine holds a Masters (Dist) in Personnel and Development and the PGCLTHE while also a Chartered Member of the CIPD and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
Christine has completed some work for Bournemouth University creating a distance learning package and is Chair of the Personnel Committee at Itchen 6th Form College.
She is currently engaged in a CIPD research project with her HRM colleagues.
Her personal interests include gardening and reading.
