Biography

Kevin completed his undergraduate degree at Chichester studying Sports Studies and Sports Development.

After graduating, he moved into the leisure industry as a Sports Development Officer and carried out a Masters in Sport and Culture at Roehampton University achieving a distinction.

After completing his Masters, Kevin continued to work in the leisure industry as a Sports Development Officer at Southampton City Council raising participation levels and delivering projects in the city. He then moved into the voluntary sector managing a local Positive Futures and Football Foundation project in the city, in addition to also lecturing part time at Southampton Solent University.

Kevin became a full-time lecturer at the University in September 2008. He holds the Postgraduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching (Higher Education) (PGCLT HE). He is also a fully qualified FA Level 2 Coach. 

Kevin teaches on the sports programmes at the university, specifically the following areas: Sports Development, Sport Policy, Sports Coaching and Physical Activity.

Kevin enjoys all sports particularly football, badminton, squash, marathons and road races.

In order to stay linked in with the leisure industry Kevin is keen to carry out research projects and collaborative ventures with local partners particularly around Sports Development, BME groups, inclusion, community sports development, school sport and research niches within the industry.
