Biography

Clwyd has taught at Southampton Solent University since 2002 after completing a MSc in Sports Coaching at Brunel University and the UEFA 'A' Licence with the Football Association. He currently teaches on the football undergraduate programmes, the professional coaching courses and is External Advisor for the Football Foundation Degree at University College Cork.

As a Coach Educator with the Football Association in Coaching and Psychology and a member of U.E.F.A.'s 'Coaching Circle' Clwyd has attended conferences in Holland and Italy and is currently undertaking research into The Relationship Between Players Learning Style and Coach Behaviour in Elite Youth Football.

Clwyd has worked as a Technical Analyst for a number of international teams at major tournaments including the Romanian U16 Team – European Championship 2001, The Paraguay National Team – World Cup 2006 and the Botswana National Team – COSAFA Cup 2007.

He has delivered football specific education programmes and clinics in Europe, USA and Africa and has featured in articles in The Times and Spanish Sports newspaper Diario As.
