She has an extensive experience of working with businesses in her role as Industrial Placement Manager for the Southampton Business School, managing the placement programme for more than 300 students and acting as an interface between the University and industry locally and nationally. For many years, she was very active in placements networks and associations.

In 1989, Anne joined the European Business and Languages Learning Network as a Project Co-ordinator and Trainer. This innovative UK government and business supported project run by Southampton Institute’s Centre for Electronic Communications and Open Support Systems in Education (CECOMM) was set up with the aim to establish a Europe-wide business and language learning network to investigate and develop techniques for cross-cultural learning in groups, with the use of electronic communications technology.
The network, involving 14 universities and FE colleges in the UK, France and Germany, was ahead of its days in introducing many students and tutors to the wide possibilities of teaching and learning electronically.
An avid runner and cyclist, Anne also enjoys walking and singing. She was brought up and educated in Poitiers, a beautiful historical town in the centre of western France, where she returns as often as possible!
