Stuart Wrighton qualified as an accountant with the Army and came to Southampton Solent University (then Southampton Institute) via part-time teaching.
He loves teaching, hence his consciously student-centred teaching approach. He is also proud to have been involved with the development of the current student induction programme.
Stuart is an active fan of Terry Pratchett's Discworld novels and regularly participates in costumed conventions. His enthusiasm even led to his actually making his own chainmail shirt. Stuart also writes articles for the Discworld stamp journal.
