Phil Durrant is a well-established creative practitioner in electronic and acoustic music, as well as sound art, with 27 years of experience as a performer, composer/improviser and installation artist. He has released nearly 50 recordings of his music on independent labels and performed all over the world, regularly appearing at festivals of international repute.
He currently performs with the 11 piece, electro-acoustic ensemble MIMEO, and Trio Sowari.
He has composed music for a number of dance performances, including designing site-specific sound installations. In the 1990s he worked with Drum ‘n’ Bass artists Fabio, Grooverider and Shut up and Dance.
He is also beta tester for a number of Native Instruments products, including Reaktor, Maschine, Kore, Massive and Battery.
