Bernhard Living is an experimental music composer, techno producer, label owner and former multi-instrumentalist. He studied composition with the South African-born composer professor Stanley Glasser, at Goldsmiths College, University of London.
As an instrumentalist (playing alto saxophone and flute) he worked within a wide range of music styles, performing and recording with such composers and bands as Cornelius Cardew, Hugh Davies, Barry Guy (The London Jazz Composers Orchestra), Ludus, Manfred Mann, Moving Being, Karlheinz Stockhausen, and Mike Westbrook.
During the nineties he was the director of BN1, a Brighton-based independent arts organization that commissioned digital arts projects that were presented online and within the public domain. He is the owner of Corpora Aliena, a label representing artists that produce cutting-edge dance, electronic and experimental music.
