Adriaan Pottas has been involved in CGI production for 13 years. He has had the privilege of working on several high profile projects, most notably the multi-award winning Burnout Paradise, the remake of Gerry Anderson's Captain Scarlet and the visualisation for the Queen Mary II ocean liner.
He started his career working as a 3D generalist on commercials and architectural visualisation. In 2004 he joined the Captain Scarlet CGI production where he gained a wide range of experience, contributing to most aspects of the creative process. It was here that he developed a specialist interest in environments, lighting and rendering which drove his decision in 2006 to move into the games industry when he was recruited by Electronic Arts. Over the next four years Adriaan worked on several titles including Burnout Paradise, Black, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince and Burnout Dominator.
Currently he is lecturing on the Computer and Video Games degree course at Southampton Solent University, while also consulting on commercial projects.
