Graham Holland, Independent Governor

 Graham Holland joined the Board in July 2010 and is currently a mmber of the Resources Committee. 

Born in Stoke-on-Trent, Graham graduated from Sheffield Polytechnic with a degree in Urban Land Economics.  He subsequently qualified as a chartered surveyor in 1975, and is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.

Graham works for commercial property specialists Lambert Smith Hampton.  In 2006, he took over as Head of Office for the company's south coast business, which has a territory stretching from Chichester to Dorchester and encompasses central and southern Hampshire, West Sussex, south Wiltshire and Dorset, but his commercial activities have been concentrated in Southampton for the past 30 years.  He has been involved with the Oxford Street Conservation Area in Southampton on behalf of Queen's College, Oxford; and worked on the Waterfront for Associated British Ports and the Red Funnel Group, and the re-development of Grosvenor Square and a number of other key residential sites in the city.  He was the originator of Southampton's annual Waterfront Firework Display.  Part of his role with LSH is to supervise/counsel graduates on the company's training scheme for Chartered Surveyors.

Graham is currently Community Governor of St John's Primary School in Southampton, and head coach for Winchester RFC's under-14s.  He is organiser of the LSH south coast annual Touch Rugby Tournament for property professionals in the region, held to raise money for Sparks, a charity funding research into cancer in children.

Graham is married with one son, who is also keen on sport.  He enjoys travelling and playing golf in his limited spare time.
