Steve Bloor

After graduating from Manchester University, Steve began his Personnel career in commercial aviation at Gatwick and Manchester airports, where he specialised in industrial relations. Steve has also worked in the commercial property management sector and the National Health Service in North Staffordshire and Birmingham. Prior to joining the then Southampton Institute in July 2004 Steve had been Director of Personnel at Staffordshire University.

Steve hails from Stoke-on-Trent, and is proud to be 'a Potter' by birth. Married, with two children, the family home for the past twenty years has been near Buxton, Derbyshire, in the wild hills of the Peak District. Away from work Steve is an enthusiastic surfer and wakeboarder (although reluctantly acknowledging that his son is very much better), spending as many weekends as possible either 'on, in or under' the water at Abersoch in North Wales.
