Is there a fee for advertising?
No, advertising opportunities on our website is completely free of charge.
Where are my opportunities advertised?
On Jobshop Online|, which is accessible to current Solent students, graduates and the public.
How long can I advertise for?
You can set whatever deadline is necessary up to 12 months from date of submission. We are unable to advertise opportunities with open or rolling deadlines.
Can I target Solent students from specific courses?
We can email students on specific courses with your opportunity. There will be a fee for this service.
What salary should I pay?
We require organisations to pay at least the National Minimum Wage for any opportunity. We are happy to advise you of the salary range for your sector based on the opportunities we receive throughout the year.
I want to employ a student from outside the EU. What do I need to do?
This will depend on the individual's specific circumstances and requires specialist advice. However we do provide general guidance and links to relevant Government agencies on our information pages|.
Do you advertise vacancies from recruitment agencies?
Yes. However it must be a genuine vacancy, and we require that you provide us with the employer's name and details for our records.
