Volunteering
Volunteers are those who offer their time for free, for the benefit of others, within their local and national community.
Students at Southampton Solent University are regularly engaged in activities which support the local and international community.
Whether it is using their skills and expertise as volunteers in local charities, community groups or public sector organisations or running their own events, students are engaged in a variety of ways.
Volunteering offers students the opportunity to gain new skills whilst making a difference. Students can also link their volunteering opportunity to their course by choosing to take an accredited academic unit Curriculum +| or participating in our year-round one-off events.
If you are a registered charity, a community group, a not-for-profit or public sector organisation and you would like to advertise any opportunity, simply register with Jobshop Online| and your opportunity will be made live to thousands of talented, motivated and enthusiastic students and graduates.
Alternatively, you can contact volunteering@solent.ac.uk| (or call +44(0)23 8031 9771).
"We have worked with student volunteers on a number of occasions and found it to be a fantastic way to strengthen our offer and add value to what we do as an organisation."
