To enhance our aim we strive to give our students the opportunities to translate the business and enterprise skills they learn in theory, to practical reality.
We celebrate our levels of employability and recognise self-employment as a valid employment option that offers a significant contribution to the economic development of Southampton.
We encourage our staff to be entrepreneurial, to support students with their own business ideas, to develop ideas of their own and share best practice through research activity and experiential learning.
We offer students from all our faculties various enterprise related activities including:

A Student Entrepreneur Programme incorporating mentoring, training and financial support to help our budding entrepreneurs develop their enterprise skills in a supportive and relatively risk-free environment.

A wide range of activities and events, such as competitions, guest speakers and interactive learning sessions incorporating games and simulations.

Additional study options on enterprise and entrepreneurship on both the generation of creative thinking for enterprising ideas and a business planning module to turn those ideas into an investable proposition.
