Student Entrepreneur Programme

Got a great idea for a business?

Southampton Solent University is developing an integrated enterprise programme to help students set up their own business, tapping into the wealth of student potential and dedicated funding to help create the entrepreneurs of the future.

The aim is to actively create real new businesses by giving a limited number of truly enterprising students the opportunity to embark upon a formal self-employed work placement contract while the student is still studying, a process which becomes an integral ‘real-world’ aspect of their university education.

The Student Entrepreneurs Programme’s intention is to identify, support, train and mentor a limited number of entrepreneurial students who want to develop their businesses, from across Southampton Solent University. Practical support might include contributing to the costs of company incorporation, purchasing of essential capital equipment and initial office space, access to sources of finance and bursaries along with a package of focused training and mentoring.

If you feel ready to start receiving a programme of enterprise support for your own business idea, please contact the Student Entrepreneur Programme office on 02380 319549 or enterprise.solent@solent.ac.uk|
