Outside broadcast vehicle with technical support

Our outside broadcast vehicle is available for hire to businesses and organisations.

It has been used for:

  • Multi-camera shoots at Glastonbury and Glade music festivals
  • Recordings from large-scale classical events at major concert halls
  • Large-scale rock/pop/dance music events
  • Small pub/club gigs in the local area
  • Live video footage (such as the QE2 departure, filmed for a national TV network)
  • Local event streaming (such as BBC Children in Need).

The van is a mixed-use vehicle with digital vision facilities centred around a Sony Anycast mixer, surround audio facilities based on the Soundcraft Vi6 digital mixer and Pyramix Digital Audio Workstation. It is capable of recording up to 64 simultaneous tracks of audio and six cameras.

It can be used to add an extra level of participation and publicity to events.

Performance theatre hire

Our state-of-the-art performance space in the University’s John Millais building is available to hire for local theatre and musical productions and events.

The venue has adjustable seating for up to 200 people, fully sprung Harlequin floors, mirrors, fully-equipped lighting rigs, a brand new PA system, and four HD cameras with live web feed.
