Graduate Fashion Show 2008

Models showcasing the work of BA (Hons) Fashion students strutted their stuff on the runway in Southampton's Guildhall on Wednesday 18 June 2008.

Southampton Solent University's annual Graduate Fashion Shows are central to celebrating student's exceptional talents.  This year student's innovative creations inspired by 1920's opulence impressed audiences; as did the lavish décor.

And what a mixed bag; an all white Grecian inspired collection contrasted with bold colours and union jacks. With an elegant collection of black numbers opening the show.

Some of the collections used fair-trade, organic or recycled materials in a link with an ethical exhibition called 'Clean Futures'.

Ten percent of profits were donated to the organisation 'Fashioning an ethical industry', a project that raises awareness of current company practices and initiatives to improve conditions.

The Outside Broadcasting team were there to record the event.
