DVD for charity Daybreak
Solent Productions has just completed a DVD for the Hampshire charity Daybreak called Family Group Conferences for Adults.
The DVD depicts two simulated families to show how family and friends can get together to support an adult who may be suffering elder abuse, or somone with learning diabilities, without having to depend on intervention from the police or social services.
The DVD is intended for distribution to those who might be thinking of using family group conferences, and to professionals who work in the field of adult services.
The making of the DVD was funded partly by Comic Relief. It was produced using student crews and edited by intern Jonathan Lovell-Knight. Head of Production, Jonathan Plummer, produced and directed.
The DVD has already been sold to similar organisations in Poland, the USA, Germany and Finland, who are considering starting programmes of family group conferences for adults.
