In the summer months we can provide great value, group accommodation in our purpose-built Student Residences.
Location & accessibility
Located on the south coast of England, Southampton has something to offer everyone and by staying in our Student Residences you're right in the heart of it.
Southampton is a vibrant, lively modern city, rich with historical and cultural heritage and, with its many city centre parks, remains one of the UK’s greenest cities. With one of Britain's largest shopping centres, West Quay, Southampton is ideal for students looking for a city experience.
Southampton is the capital of the south offering superb transport links to London, Portsmouth, Bournemouth, Salisbury/Stonehenge, the Isle of Wight, and the rest of Southern England.
Group accommodation
Situated in the city centre, our 6 student residences offer a range of accommodation options including over 1000 bedrooms with en-suite facilities. All rooms are provided with bed linen and towels as standard.
A complete catering package can also be provided on the main University campus located a short 5 minute walk through one of the city’s many green parks. Self catering options are also available, please enquire for details.
Social activities
Southampton Solent University has a choice of venues available to hire for social activities such as Karaoke nights, talent shows and disco’s. External venues can also be arranged and managed by the Hospitality Services team if required.
Event management
Your event programme is managed by the Hospitality Services Team and a dedicated event manager will assist you with your booking throughout the duration of your event and liase with all relevant departments at the University.
Sports programme
Southampton Solent University staff are available to assist your event staff in organising a sports activity programme for your event.
There are three sports venues, two sports halls which provide facilities for activities such as Basketball, Volleyball, Dance mats, Badminton etc. Other areas can be provided also be offered and include a very popular Nintendo Wii machine and games.
The many parks surrounding the University are ideal for football, Kwik cricket and rounder matches. Should your group require other amenities such as swimming pools, tennis courts the Sports staff can forward contact details of local venues.
