I chose Southampton Solent University because the MSc Business Information Technology matched my interests, by combining the technical aspects with some management issues.
Also the friendly and international atmosphere of the University appealed to me and I felt that it could offer me support from tutors and staff.
I have successfully completed my course and really enjoyed my time at the University. At first, I lacked confidence with my language and my research abilities, but my tutors helped me overcome the difficult periods. Also, the free English language course, which is offered to international students, was really helpful in improving presentation skills and academic writing proficiency.
I found the tutors really supportive and friendly, always giving me their advice quickly and effectively during group work or individual tasks. I could always get more suggestions, it really helped me make progress.
At this moment I'm taking another postgraduate course about Computer Science in the UK. I felt the experience in Southampton Solent University really prepared me for academic study in England. Now I feel much more confident about my study method, English language, presentation skills and so on. I believe it has been very useful in furthering my education and my career development.
