MA Marketing Management contributors

 

The MA Marketing Management course has strong links with businesses and is fortunate to have many special c ontributors who are actively involved with students on various projects.

Deborah Wilson

 Deborah is Managing Director of Talking Walls Limited, a company that specialises in creating visual software tours of museums, art galleries and historic buildings. Visitors and users access the virtual tours via PDAs and similar devices. She is actively involved with MA students on consulting projects and teaches on the Entrepreneurial Marketing unit.  Currently, Deborah is working on a contract to recreate Beaulieu Abbey in the New Forest, much of which was destroyed during the Civil War. Gill Gould

 Gill is Managing Director of Carswell Gould in Southampton, a marketing communications and training agency that specialises in promoting many of the city's premier businesses. Gill and Ed work closely with students from the MA Marketing course, hosting them for seminars and lectures at their offices near the Bargate. Gill and Ed, supported by PR specialist Liz, manage student consulting projects for some of their clients and give lectures on marketing communications and e-marketing. Tim Addison

 Tim is a visiting Fellow at the Business School and has contributed to consulting projects, entrepreneurial marketing and course design.

Whilst studying for the MA in Marketing Management at the University, Tim set up a construction training company called New Career Skills. He sold this in 2007 for a valuation circa £6 Million and is now concentrating on a small business growth programme called Business Innovation & Growth Strategies (www.bigstrategies.co.uk||). Tim has also expanded a Disabled Work Experience Scheme (www.disabledworkexperience.org.uk) helping disabled 16 - 18 year olds get valuable work experience in some of the UK's top employers.

 

Chris Orr

 A former student of the University and is now Managing Director of Chapel Design, a marketing communications and internet agency based in Southampton. He is a Visiting Fellow at the Business School and helps students with consulting projects as well as teaching on developments in e-communications.
