"I started the MA Marketing Management course after completing my BSc Social Policy & Administration. I was looking for a postgraduate course that would enhance my academic and employment knowledge and experience. Having being responsible for marketing and communications in my job in a social enterprise for community development and regeneration for the past three years, I felt that qualifications in marketing would greatly benefit me both academically and in my employment. 

"When I came across the MA in Marketing Management I found that the course outline had lots of units and topics that appealed to me. In fact, at times it was hard deciding which of the many interesting units to choose! 

"When I started the course, I was concerned that having an academic background of social policy and social sciences, and not marketing, would greatly disadvantage me. As it turned out, many of my classmates were also from other academic backgrounds too. 

"I studied the course full time and what an experience it was! The workload was far more than I'd ever expected but the topics were very interesting to learn and that really helped. The lecturers were very supportive if and when we needed them and overall the course structure and content were great. I did struggle at times as, being a single parent, working part-time and having numerous other commitments, undertaking a full time MA was a huge challenge. But it was worth it! 

"Best of all my classmates were great and we all supported each other, plus, we had so much fun on the course, even though we all worked really hard! I have to say this was the best course of study I have ever done and for many of us, it was sad when we finished! This course has greatly opened my eyes to the world of marketing and the further opportunities that this qualification brings, many of my classmates, and MA Marketing Management students before us, have gone on to bigger and better things. So, I now go forward with a renewed confidence and my boss is very pleased too that I'm bringing all these skills to our company!"
