"A love for music drew me to Southampton Solent University.
"My first impressions of the University were rather impressive! I was warmly received by the 'Meet and Greet' team at Heathrow Airport. Having just flown in from Paris and feeling quite homesick, the team was very friendly, helpful and understanding of my state of mind. They kept me active and distracted, all the while helping me focus on my course.
"The first thing that struck me about the University campus was that it’s ideally placed in the city centre. This enabled me to explore all the music/gadget shops and discover all of the places to nourish my love for music. After a while I fell right into place in Southampton. I knew that I would develop as a person throughout the next three years.
"Once my BSc (Hons) Audio Technology course got going I was particularly excited by the amount of time I spent in the recording studio and the assigned projects. The facilities always exceed my expectations and help was always available from the tutors. The course had a good, balanced workload between the logical and the creative, which was ideal for me. I anticipate taking advantage of my tutors’ industry links to help set me up with a top job! Even my course mates, who had various experiences in the audio industry, helped me develop as a technician. All of these opportunities were the essential reasons why I chose Southampton Solent University."
