2013

Course overview

The Public Sector is a dynamic, complex environment, often requiring its own set of management skills. The Foundation degree (Business) has been developed in conjunction with leading Public Sector organisations to enable both new and existing staff to enhance their skills not only at the theoretical level but to allow them to implement such skills within the workplace.

A Foundation degree is an 'academically rigorous and vocationally relevant' course geared to continuing professional development. At the heart of the degree is the ability to combine academic study and work-based learning.

Flexible courses

The Foundation Degree conforms to Solent's commitment to produce work based courses that can be delivered at a time and place to suit the student's lifestyle.

Delivery may be at Solent, in the workplace, or online. The choice is subject to reasonable cohort sizes. Courses can start at any time of the year and students can determine the pace of their learning to reflect workplace and lifestyle pressures.
