"I chose to study at Southampton Solent University after feeling really welcomed on the open day. The course offered an interesting variety of business subjects and the option of a placement year was a real bonus. I did business management at A Level and decided to continue with it on a sandwich degree.
"Since starting my course I have grown more confident. Studying has made me more employable and I have gained many new skills. University is not all about written work, we learn to communicate better through presentations and the seminars. I have really enjoyed meeting new people.
"I am really happy with the grades that I achieved. Recently I secured a work placement which could hopefully lead to a permanent job offer once I complete my degree.
"Before embarking on any course, it’s important to look at what’s on offer, to visit the university and ensure that you feel comfortable. It worked for me and hopefully it will work for you too!"
