"I'm originally from Dorset and moved to Southampton to study. I've been a bedroom DJ enthusiast for years. I used to play the violin and always knew I wanted to get involved in music from a young age.
"My favourite music styles include House and Techno; however, this course has given me knowledge of many different genres. I'm more attracted to the producing side of things and hope to be either a DJ or producer in the future.
"I really enjoy my course, it's good working with experienced people that can introduce you to aspects of music that you wouldn't necessarily encounter whilst DJing in your bedroom. The lecturers are easy to talk to; they offer a hands on approach with high standards of teaching.
"The equipment here is brilliant; it's all of industry standard. I particularly favour Cubase software but we are now learning to use Logic software as part of the course.
"I have studied music theory and have learnt how to break down music tracks and how to understand the structure of music, its chords and melodies. I feel that I have been taught how to step back and understand music from different perspectives.
"I would highly recommend this course to others as it is extremely focussed and a lot of fun!"
