"The ability to work swiftly and independently is the most important thing you can take into a job. I learnt to do this at Southampton Solent University."

Andrew came to Southampton Solent University after doing a Foundation course at Loughborough University. The interview process was the clincher in making Southampton Solent University his first choice. While most of the other university interviews were intimidating and irrelevant, Southampton Solent University came across as friendly and informal and genuinely interested in his work. The course proved to be well structured and helped Andrew develop professionally as a graphic designer.

Since graduating, Andrew has worked as a graphic designer with Grundy and Northedge Information Designers in London. The company is a well-established design studio and has impressive clients such as the United Nations, World Bank, World Health Organisation and Action Aid. Andrew has worked on briefs for these clients off to a great start and his ultimate goal is to start his own design business.

Andrew says:

"By the end of the course I definitely had the knowledge and determination to go to interviews confident of my abilities and proud of my achievements."
