Since opening as a music venue in 1968, The Joiners has achieved legendary status having played host to such luminary acts as: Oasis, Radiohead, Green Day, P J Harvey, Manic Street Preachers and Suede not to mention more recently act such as Coldplay, The Libertines, Franz Ferdinand, Delays and Hell is for Heroes, Tom Vek, The Dead 60′s, The Rakes, JJ72, Arctic Monkeys, KT Tunstall, Willie Mason, The Kooks, Hundred Reasons, H.I.M, Lost Prophets, The Ordinary Boys, Skindred, At The Drive In and The Manic Street Preachers and Babyshambles just to name a few.

The Joiners has been providing work experience opportunities to BA (Hons) Music Promotion students since the course began in 2007. That work experience has come in handy at the interview stages for our graduates seeking internships, as the interviewers have often promoted or managed bands which have recently played there! There are also opportunities to promote gigs at The Joiners’ sister venue, Unit, which has allowed our students to get real-world concert promotion experience during the course of their degree.
