The Sound is the number one website for everything students need to know about the Southampton music scene. Whether you’ve moved to Southampton from London or Scotland, The Sound will keep you up to date on all that’s going on in Southampton. From upcoming gigs to reviews and interviews, the Sound endeavours to keep Solent students in the musical know.
The website features a large amount of work by students of Popular Music Journalism, including interviews with the likes of Coheed and Cambria, Murderdolls, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, The Dillinger Escape Plan and The Duke Spirit, and has close links with Audio Addict.
In the last year The Sound has been edited by third year student Ian Easton.
