How do I apply?
Undergraduate students must complete an online application via UCAS| (University Central Admissions System). Once your UCAS application has been submitted, UCAS will then send your application to the universities you applied to.
Postgraduate students must complete a direct application form and send it back to the International Recruitment Office.

When is the application deadline?
Overseas students applying for an undergraduate course have officially until the end of June to apply. However, it is recommended to apply earlier in order to have a place guaranteed especially for certain courses such as design-related or media-related. Please note that it is still possible to apply during the summer as long as there are places left on the course.
EU students applying for an undergraduate course have officially until 15 January to apply online on the UCAS website, www.ucas.ac.uk|. Pass this deadline, there is no guarantee the student's application will be considered.
International students applying for a postgraduate course do not have an official deadline but we do recommend that an application is made as early as possible to leave enough time to arrange your accommodation, visa if applicable etc.
How long does it take to get a decision back?
Students applying via UCAS would normally be expected to wait a minimum of 3 to 4 weeks to get a response back. Applications involving a portfolio viewing or audition may take longer.
Students applying for a postgraduate course would normally be expected to get a decision back within 1 to 2 weeks.
Please note that overseas students will be expected to pay a £2,000 deposit to get their visa support letter.
What do I do when I receive my offer letter?
Students who have applied through UCAS will be required to accept their offer online using the UCAS track system.
Students who applied directly to the university will be required to send the Acknowledgement form back to the International Recruitment Office.
When does the course start?
Teaching classes will start on 27 September 2010. However, you will be required to arrive prior to that for the Freshers' Week starting on 20 September. During that week you will do your student enrolment, get your timetable, meet your teachers and other fellow students.
Please also note that an International Induction Programme will take place from 15 to 17 September. Those few days will allow you to meet other international students and familiarise yourself with the city and the university via social events and talks/presentations about a variety of issues for international students.
