International welcome events
Meet and Greet service
The International Advice Team will be providing a free mini-bus service from Southampton Central train station and the National Express coach station to University Halls of Residence and city centre accommodation only. This service will be available on the following dates:
Monday 17 September 2012
Tuesday 18 September 2012
Our Student Guides (wearing red t-shirts) will meet you at Southampton Central train station and the National Express coach station and direct you to a free mini-bus that will transport you to your accommodation. There may be some waiting time between mini-bus departures, but every effort will be made to keep waiting times to a minimum.
The mini-bus service will operate from 9.00am to approximately 8.00pm.

Please note that this service will only operate on Monday 17 and Tuesday 18 September 2012. If you arrive at any other time you will have to use your own initiative to catch the relevant public transport to your accommodation.

The International Welcome Week offers an ideal opportunity to meet fellow international students, find your way around the campus and settle into the city.
It is accessible for all international and EU students accepted on a course of study at Southampton Solent University.
Welcome Week activities include:

Welcome talk and introduction to the University

An opportunity to meet the staff from the International Advice service

Advice on living and studying in the UK
-
Medical registration
-
Workshops
-
Social activities.
Please visit the Students 1st Information Centre on arrival to collect your timetable for the week's activities.

Students who start in January are also invited to an induction programme to take place at the beginning of their course. Further information to be displayed at a later date.
