Undergraduate courses
As a general guide, we look for qualifications that are equivalent to the British High School A-levels. A portfolio is also required for most of our Art & Design courses.

Students with a National Form VI Examination

Students with an East African Certificate of Education (EACE)

Students with a Cambridge Overseas High School Certificate (COHSC)

Students with an East African Advanced Certificate of Education (EAACE)
Postgraduate courses
As a general guide, we look for qualifications that are equivalent to the British Bachelor Degree.

Students with a Bachelor degree
English Language requirements
In order to enrol on a course at the University, you will be required to demonstrate an acceptable level of competence in both written and spoken English.

International scholarships
We are pleased to offer a number of scholarships to students from Tanzania, if you are applying for a full-time course at Southampton Solent University and you are a self-funded full-fee student.

Visa information
As a Tanzanian national, you will need to apply for a visa to come and study in the UK. You should make your application for a visa at your local British Embassy or High Commission in your country.
Certificate of Acceptance for Study (CAS)
When you have met all the conditions of entry for a full-time course at Southampton Solent University (inc. payment of deposit and course acceptance), you will be sent a Certificate of Acceptance for Study (CAS) number. You will need this document to apply for a visa to study at our university.
