Your Offer
Once your application has been submitted, what happens next?
Whether you are an undergraduate or a postgraduate student, once you have accepted a place with us, a pre-arrival pack will be sent out to you at a specific time giving you information about course fee payment, starting dates etc.
Undergraduate students
You would have normally applied via UCAS. It normally takes 3 to 4 weeks before finding out whether you have been offered a place or not. You should be first informed by UCAS. The University would then send you an offer letter to confirm your acceptance on the programme of your choice. There are two alternatives: your offer can either be conditional or unconditional.
Conditional offer - What does it mean?
Your offer is subject to passing successfully your current studies and/or taking an English test. Once you have received your results, please email copies of your transcripts to the International Recruitment Office. If you have met your conditions, your offer will be amended to unconditional and a new offer letter will be sent out.
Unconditional offer - What does it mean?
You have met all the criteria to be accepted onto one of our programmes.
I have received my offer - What do I do next?
It is essential that you accept your offer with UCAS even if you have a conditional place. To do so, please go on the UCAS website and click on "Track". You will then be required to provide your student ID, username and password. Once you are logged in and if you have had a reply from all universities, you will be required to reply as to where you would like to study. The options are: F for Firm (1st choice), I for Insured (2nd choice), D for Declined.
Postgraduate students
You would have normally completed one of our direct postgraduate application forms. It should take between 1 to 2 weeks before you are informed of the decision.
If you are accepted, you will receive an offer letter which can either be conditional or unconditional (see above for the meaning of conditional and unconditional). With your offer letter, you should find a Course Acknowledgement Form which you would be requested to send back to the University, informing us whether you accept or not our offer.
