am-bish'cm, n. aspiration after success or advancement; the object of aspiration.

Ambition is an exhibition organised and arranged by the Southampton Institute Fine Art students.

Ambition has involved the students in every aspect of the organisation; from the design of the exhibition space to the installation; from lighting to hanging; from public relations to final preview. The most interesting idea is that the students themselves have been responsible for both the creation of the artworks and also their selection, not always an easy process. Here you will find an eclectic mix of painting, sculpture and conceptual work, an exciting opportunity for the public to see these three methods of working side by side.
