Internationally renowned R'n'B singer/songwriter Craig David thrilled staff and students when he spent a day at Southampton Solent University to receive an Honorary Doctorate.

The University awarded the honorary Doctor of Music to Craig during a degree ceremony at the Guildhall.
Craig - who holds three Ivor Novello Awards, four MOBOs and two MTV Europe Awards went on to open one of the music studios and take part in a Q&A session, before thrilling the audience with an impromptu performance of 'Walking Away'.
