News release - Show stopping student talent

Southampton Solent University students will be exhibiting the fruits of their labour with a spectacular set of degree shows from June 12-18th.
Industry professionals, potential employers and talent spotters alongside students, family and friends will have the opportunity to see the innovative work of Solent's final-year students at the main campus on East Park Terrace, Southampton SO14 0LY.
Technology Degree Show
Final-year students will demonstrate their ability to plan, execute and prepare the findings of an applied project on Friday June 12th from 11am-2pm in the Herbert Collins Building.
School of Design Degree Show
The Design show represents an opportunity to the see the work of our talented young designers with graphic design displays, moving image and multimedia installations, fashion, fashion photography, interior environments, consumer products, branding and packaging and digital music. The show previews from 6-9pm on Friday June 12th and continues until June 18th in the John Millais Building.
Fine Art
From the weird to the wonderful and just about every variation in between. New talent in contemporary visual art – painting, sculpture, photography, video art, and installation - will be on display. The show previews on Friday June 12th at 6pm and continues from 13-18 June in the John Millais Building.
Illustration Degree Show
Illustration Degree Show 2009 represents the culmination of a three-year visual voyage of discovery, where pigeon holes and prejudices often held between fine and applied arts can be challenged. It features work for children's books, graphic novels, self-published comics, fashion, magazines and newspapers, fiction and non-fiction, poetry anthologies and biographies. The show previews from 6-9pm on Friday June 12th and at the Millais Gallery.
Photography Degree|| Show
A diverse and exemplary range of photographic styles will be on display, reflecting current trends in editorial practice, portraiture, fashion and contemporary art. There is a private viewing from 6-9pm on Friday June 12th in the John Millais Building and the exhibition continues from 13-18th June.
