Food for lens competition

Hampshire College students produced mouth watering masterpieces that looked good enough to eat for Southampton Solent University’s ‘Food for the Lens’ competition.
In celebration of the University’s food management and photography courses, the University invited art, design and photography students from the regions colleges to set up, photograph and submit a food shot that reflected the theme of celebration.
The winning pictures were announced at an awards ceremony held at the University’s Sir James Matthew Building on Friday November 12.
A panel of University staff and industry professionals awarded first prize to Julie Yeo, from Isle of Wight College, for her cupcake celebration. Second prize went to Southampton City College student, Robert Andrlik’s and Maddy Cooper from The Sixth Form College Farnborough, was awarded third prize.
Those attending the ceremony were invited to vote for their favourite photograph from the 40 entries that were on display throughout the awards ceremony evening. The audience award was presented to Charles Hughes, from Fareham College, for his Halloween inspired Trick or Treat composition.
