Troubles with the taxman?
Thursday 2 February 2011
Southampton Solent University in partnership with accredited associates of the Institute of Independent Business is offering a free ‘Understanding Tax and Business Financials’ seminar in February.
The seminar will address the concerns of Small and Medium sized Enterprises (SMEs) who are preparing for a possible ‘tax grab’ from the government. HMRC is thought to be actively targeting small businesses in order to plug the £158 billion hole in the public finances.
The seminar will cover:
-
How HMRC thinks
-
5 top tax tips
-
Developing the right relationship with your bank, accountant and lawyer
-
Financial management at a glance
-
How to handle HMRC checks and enquiries
The event will take place at Southampton Solent University on Wednesday 16th February from 4.30 to 6.30 PM.
A light buffet will be served following the seminar, so attendees will also have an opportunity to network and raise any other questions informally.
